One of the highlights of this year was the week-long meeting in Medena, near Trogir, which could take place despite the corona pandemic at the end of July with a sophisticated hygiene concept. Youths and young adults from Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina met for intensive political workshops and discussions about the past and present in the Balkans. After more than a year of social distancing, leisure time with new and old friends was of course an important part of the encounter, too.

The participants were particularly enthusiastic about the workshop with Azir, a former participant and activist of the “Youth United in Peace” Network, who talked about his childhood during the war in Srebrenica. „This part of the encounter was hard and difficult, but at the same time interesting and really good,“ says Adrijan Prodan from Sombor, Serbia, who made this video statement.
