Barely three months ago, this year’s Dialogue Seminar for women ended. When we said goodbye to these impressive women after two intensive and meaningful weeks, we had no idea that the political situation in the region would experience such a brutal break.

The Hamas attack on Israeli civilians shocked and appalled us. For more than a week now, a war has been going on that will probably claim countless more civilian victims on all sides.

A few days ago, we received the sad news that a participant of the Dialogue Seminar 2019 was shot by settlers in the West Bank. He was one of many young people in Israel and Palestine who want to overcome mutual hatred, dehumanization and repetitive violence.

We are in constant contact with our partners in Israel and Palestine and remain in solidarity with all those who are struggling non-violently on both sides for a just future in which everyone can live in security.
