We look back on a year full of exciting, intensive and sometimes challenging encounters and dialogues. After two years with pandemic-related restrictions, we are glad that in 2022 large groups were able to meet again. Unfortunately, at the same time, the political situation in our partner regions has again worsened. All the more admirable is the constant commitment of our partners in Israel and Palestine and in the former Yugoslavia and their courage not to give up even in times when the political reality seems depressing and hopeless. Vacation from war wouldn’t be possible without them! Nor would the project be possible without the numerous, often long-standing private donors who ensure its political independence.
