What does the cross boarder network Youth United in Peace (YU-Peace) mean to me? What do I miss? During the last months we received a lot of feedback on these questions. Within the next weeks, we will publish the short and sometimes longer statements of the young peace activists here.
„For me, YU-Peace is a place where I got to meet a lot of amazing, special people that have been a big part of my life for a couple of years now. YU-Peace has given me an opportunity to learn how to love and accept those who are different than me and it has also been a place where I could be my true self, knowing I would find acceptance, love and support. The situation that we live in right now has separated us, and I really miss all of our gatherings, the camps, trips and weekend visits. But more than anything I miss people, the laughs and tears that we used to share, and I miss hugs! I believe that better times are coming, and when they do, I hope that we will have the chance to see each other again to continue writing this amazing story that we call YU-Peace!“
